Terms and Conditions for Downloadbuyer.com Ltd's 2010 Advent Calendar Competition

1. The advent calendar competition runs every day from the 1st day of December until and including the 25th of December. Each day Downloadbuyer will, from a random draw, award not less than five prizes taken from the prize list below.

2. Product prizes are delivered by email and as such contain a download link and serial number activation code. Under no circumstance are products delivered as physical packages and or on CD ROM / DVD ROM. Winning entrants are entitled and recommended to make a physical backup of their prize. The entrant is responsible for downloading and maintaining their prize.

2.1 Downloadbuyer.com Ltd will inform winning entries by email and additionally, over the course of the month, winning entrants will be listed in the Competition News blog displayed below the main Advent Calendar entry page. Note: Only a first name and town or city will be displayed. If you match the criteria contact customer services and we will check the email address to validate.

3. This competition is not open to employees (or members of their immediate families) of Downloadbuyer.com Ltd or any of the manufactures or subsidiaries of the manufactures listed below under Prizes or to companies providing services to Downloadbuyer.com Ltd.

4. No purchase is necessary.

5. Only one entry per person per day. You may, and should enter every day.

6. Winning entrants will be selected at random. The judges are employees of Downloadbuyer.com Ltd and their decision is final.

7. The closing date every day is midnight, right up to and including Christmas Day.

8. In the interest of privacy entrants email and or address details are not published publically anywhere. Further information can be made available on request to Government, Legal and Advertising standards organisations by contacting customer services after the final closing date (December 25th).

9. By entering the competition the winners accept and agree to our general terms and conditions available at the bottom of every page.

10. The prize may be transferred to another person on the condition the receiving party informs Downloadbuyer.com Ltd of their name and email address and the original recipient warrants they will not install and or use the product once it has been passed on. Such notifications should be sent to customer services . Any recipient must conform to clause 3 above.

11. No part of a prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize.

13. Please read our Privacy Policy, which tells you how we use any personal information collected about you when entering a competition or purchasing a product.

14. Downloadbuyer.com Ltd reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. Downloadbuyer.com Ltd may also create rules that will apply to a specific competition only. If we do this we will publish the amended competition rules and/or specific competition rules on the relevant competition page.

15. Downloadbuyer.com Ltd will endeavour to send prizes within 48 hours from the time of entry but cannot guarantee this time. It does however guarantee it will make its best efforts to meet this time and if for any reason fails to do so commits to doing so within an additional 48 hours. If your prize has not arrived within this timeframe please contact us.

16. Downloadbuyer is not able to guarantee entrants computing systems being compatible with a prize's minimum system requirements. In the advent of such an instance you may inform us of such by contacting customer services. We will then, at our discretion consider alternative options. This is in no way a guaranteed commitment of such consideration.

17. Unclaimed prizes. Prizes will be held for a period of 30 days from the date notification was sent. Any prizes remaining unclaimed at this point will no longer be available as they will be reused in other promotional activities. There is no compensation available for prize winners should they fail to claim their prize during this period and there is no equivalent cash value available. Simply, if you do not claim your prize within thirty days you lose it!

18. Downloadbuyer cannot be held responsible for any notifications not being received by the intended recipient. We strongly recommend entrants pay constant attention to their Junk Mail / Spam folders as systems often place unknown senders into them.

19. Automated competition entries. Automating the registration process will invalidate entry. We reserve the right to ban access to the site to any offending entries. Offenders will be reported to their Internet Service provider.

Prizes;

The following prizes have been made available for the duration of the competition. Due to variations between required prizes being for PC and or Apple Mac computer platforms this list is not guaranteed but it does indicate the general number and general products being made available.
